The BFE go to sleep and the SWM and LEX expedition members spend the day clearing the last of the Lake Tents and uncovering another specimen. This third specimen is more complete that the other two, and a 4 inch star shaped rock is buried on to of it.
The BFE start their day as the SWM and LEX teams go to bed. Meyer, Uhr, Rucker and Benecke are shown round Lake’s camp. Meyer and Uhr do not seem surprised by what they are shown.
Asmund stays up to watch the camp, and Cissy stays up to take pictures of the BFE work.
The BFE clear the cairn over Lake’s dog corral and also make some exploratory holes in the snow above Lake’s hangers.
The bodies of all of Lake’s dogs are recovered, all had been cut up to some degree. From just the meat taken, to a detailed dismemberment. Not a pleasant sight.
